Private GP consultations tend to be longer than those provided on the NHS. This allows you to explore and discuss your concerns in greater detail than you usually would be able to. Consultations are private and confidential, and there is no requirement to share the details with your NHS GP, unless you would like to.
After a thorough consultation and examination, which will aim to look at all aspects of your health and well-being, the GP will discuss a management plan with you. These could include a prescription (at no extra charge) or further investigations such as blood tests or scans.
The GP will aim to make you feel at ease and informed at every step of the journey and give you plenty of opportunities to ask any questions that you may have.
